Transformers: Generations: Combiner Wars Generation 2 Aerialbots (Air Raid, Firefly, Powerglide, Quickslinger, Silverbolt, Skydive, Superion)
G2 Silverbolt
Previous Mold Reviews: Silverbolt, Cyclonus, Scattershot
They did a really nice job repainting Silverbolt. This toy look great in red and blue.
G2 Air Raid
Previous Mold Reviews: Air Raid
They did a wonderful job on the paint apps on his wings and vertical stabilizers. His overall blue color seems a little lighter than the G1, but it still looks great.
G2 Firefly
Previous Mold Reviews: Firefly, Quickslinger, Blast Off
Firefly’s G2 color scheme is not all that different from his G1. In vehicle mode he has really great art on his wings and vertical stabilizers. In robot mode he has more silver paint than the G1. Nice looking, but I never understood why the others had such radical color changes while Fireflight remained so close to the original.
G2 Quickslinger
Previous Mold Reviews: Firefly, Quickslinger, Blast Off
Hasbro’s history with gold plastic is not good, but it seems as though they have corrected that. Quickslinger looks great. I love the gold color on this mold.
G2 Skydive
Previous Mold Reviews: Skydive
Skydive looks awesome. The silver and blue color scheme really works on this mold. The silver-gray plastic looks so much nicer than the plain gray.
G2 Powerglide
Previous Mold Reviews: Powerglide, Viper
G2 Powerglide is a completely original color scheme. I like the gray and red. The only problem is that all the others have intricate art, while Powerglide has nothing but G2 logo on his chest. He really needed to have his wings painted with some design reminiscent of the others. He just looks too plain to be a G2 combiner.
G2 Superion
Previous Mold Reviews: Superion
G2 Superion has one great advantage over the G1version having all his correct limbs in the correct places. He looks really great.
Overall: I have always loved G2 toys, and the combiners are some of my favorites. G2 Superion is a must have for every G2 fan.
