About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.

Blog #43: Movie Review: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen this year.  I am not going to go through the intricacies of the plot, because it would take way too long, and I’d never do it justice.  If you only see … Continue reading

Blog #41: Draco and the Malfoys Final Performance (2011 Boston Yule Ball)

Sunday night I attended the 7th Annual Harry and the Potters Boston Yule Ball.  This was my fourth Yule Ball, and the second in a row at which I haven’t fallen getting there or getting home (due to the fact … Continue reading

Blog #40: Movie Review: Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

It amazes me.  Robert Downey, Jr. was for quite a while known for his drug problems, and then when he got that taken care of, being unable to work because insurance companies didn’t want to cover him. Now he’s Tony … Continue reading

Blog #39: Movie Review: The Muppets

The Muppets are back!  Funny, I hadn’t realized how long it had been since there was a Muppet movie.  I’m not going to talk much about the plot.  It’s the Muppets.  They’re awesome.  Period. I do have something to say … Continue reading

Blog #38: Movie Review: Hugo

I don’t have a lot to say about Hugo.  It was a good movie, I enjoyed it, but it wasn’t anything like what I was expecting, and did not even vaguely live up to my expectations. Spoilers ahead. I didn’t … Continue reading

Blog #37: Book Review: “Bumblebee and Me: Life as a G1 Transformer” by Dan Gilvezan

One quick blog related note:  I’m a bit behind on blogs at the moment.  I should have a few new ones up this weekend including reviews of Hugo and The Muppets, as well as a review of the KO Toys … Continue reading

Blog #36: Things That Annoy Me, and Things That Don’t…and Transformers, Too

Nothing of any great importance this week, so I’m going to do things that annoy me, and things that don’t…and Transformers, too.  I think I’ll do it in reverse order though, so if you don’t want to read about what … Continue reading

Blog #35: Movie Review: Breaking Dawn (Just one more to go…thank God!)

They called this movie The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part I.  Why don’t they just call it what it is?  The Twilight Saga, Breaking Bella’s…okay, I won’t go there, but you get the idea.  That was literally the plot of … Continue reading

Blog #34: Movie Review: Immortals

I really enjoyed Immortals.  It was well acted and the effects were top notch.  I really only have one complaint.  There was nothing knew.  Nothing about this story really distinguished itself from the other movies based on Greek myths in … Continue reading
