Transformers: Generations: Combiner Wars Deluxe Combaticon Vortex

Vortex is a straight repaint of Alpha Bravo.  This is not as egregious a screw up as Blast Off’s head sculpt, or lack thereof.  At least Vortex properly has no mouth, and it’s a very close to his G1 look.  Hasbro has so screwed up it’s use of this mold, starting with replacing Slingshot (Quickslinger) with Alpha Bravo who happened to look a lot like Slingshot.  Then they made him blades without remolding his forearms.  Blades should not have missiles, he is a rescue helicopter.  Now they are using two of this mold for Victorion which is lazy and cheap.  I think Vortex has a pretty nice paint job overall.  I would have preferred the missiles be green to more closely mirror his G1 guns.  My biggest complaint is that they should have found a way to give him a chin gun in helicopter mode, which is one of G1 Vortex’s coolest and unique features.
