Transformers Tribute Evolution of Bumblebee Deluxe 3-Pack
2007 Movie 1970’s Bumblebee
Vehicle Mode: I’ve never reviewed this mold before. This Bumblebee has a great vehicle mode. This new version is slightly darker yellow than the original and also does not have the battle damage that the original version did. He’s got great paint apps that include all his windows, something Hasbro forgot about at some point along the way.
Robot Mode: In robot mode he looks pretty good. He is missing some of the paint apps of the original, and his face is white instead of gray. I prefer the original face.
Age of Extinction 1960’s High Octane Bumblebee
Read my review of the original version here. This version of High Octane Bumblebee uses a much lighter lemon yellow color where the original had a much nicer orange yellow color. The original had black and grayish-black plastic in addition to the yellow plastic. This one replaces all the grayish-black plastic with black making him just black and yellow. A few parts in his shoulders, arms, and his missile that were black are now yellow. Additionally his windows are more tinted than the original.
The Last Knight Bumblebee
You can read my review of The Last Knight Deluxe Bumblebee here. The lighting in the photos make them look different colors, but they are not. The only difference between these is that the new one has tinted windows while the original has clear.
Overall: This is a nice set, especially if you need to 2007 Movie Bumblebee, but the 2007 and High Octane Bumblebees are inferior to the originals. The new Bumblebee is hard to find though, this may be an easier way to get the toy, plus the tinted windows look better.
Thanks for reading!
