Transformers Generations Legends Tailgate & Groundbuster and Skrapnel & Reflector

Groundbuster

Vehicle & Weapon Modes: I am not a huge fan of Groundbuster.  His vehicle mode seems to be some king of…I’m not sure what.  Maybe a snow plow?  In gun mode he just looks ridiculous.

Robot Mode: Robot mode is not awful, but you can’ fold down the scoop onto his back and his arms are enormous for the size of his body.

Tailgate

Vehicle Mode: I really love Tailgate’s vehicle mode.  It’s a great car mode, and I love the blue flames even though the G1 toy just had a white hood.

Robot Mode: His robot mode is great, but he could use a few dark colored paint apps, or even just make his blue darker.  He just looks a little plain.  The mold is awesome though.  I can’t wait to see him repainted as Windcharger.  If that’s not on the schedule, it needs to be.

Reflector

Vehicle & Weapon Modes: Well, I love that we got Reflector.  I just wish he was a little larger.  He is small compared to the other partners, and to transform from robot to camera, you just lie him down.  The gun mode isn’t great either.  A bit of a disappointment.

Robot Mode: His robot mode does look a lot like the Reflector robot who formed the camera lens, but again, it’s really small.

Skrapnel

Vehicle Mode: The name sucks.  They should have gone with Sharpshot, the name given to Shrapnel in the Toys R Us reissue set five years ago.  Skrapnel is just a dumb name.  He does however have an awesome insect mode.  Probably better than the G1.  He’s perfect.

Robot Mode: His robot mode is equally as awesome.  Now I just hope that somewhere down the road we get his two comrades so we can have a whole set.
