Blog #2099: Toy Review: Transformers: Kingdom: Battle Across Time Collection Grimlock and Mirage

Transformers: Kingdom: Battle Across Time Collection Grimlock and Mirage

Grimlock

Previous Mold Use: Kingdom Voyager Class Dinobot

Other than those idiotic dinosaur hands, Grimlock looks awesome. He has a great paintjob and the new head, while it seems a little large for his body, looks great.

Mirage

Previous Mold Use: Siege Deluxe Class Mirage, Siege Deluxe Class Holo Mirage, Netflix War for Cybertron Trilogy Deluxe Class Mirage

Siege Mirage was not my favorite toy. His arms folding under his spoiler left him looking like he had a wall across the back of his vehicle mode. They have remolded Mirage to fix that problem completely and make him look more like a real formula one race car. He looks amazing. He has a great new head sculpt, but I would really like to have him with the G1 toy style head.

Overall: This is a great set. Grimlock may not be a must have, but this Mirage is the best version of the mold, so I highly recommend this set.

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
