Blog #412: Toy Review: Transformers Go Deluxe Gaidora

Transformers Go Deluxe Gaidora

Gaidora is the Japanese version of Transformers Prime Beast Hunters Deluxe Lazerback.  He has a new paintjob and a new head.  (Read my review of Lazerback for more information on this mold.)

Vehicle Mode: The most obvious thing about Gaidora is that he has a really great paintjob.  The USA version really does look like a knockoff by comparison.  I’ll never understand why Hasbro can’t take some lessons from Takara on how to color toys.

Robot Mode: Gaidora’s new head is really nice.  It looks far mare like it goes with a Beast Hunters toy than Lazerback’s does.  I wasn’t a huge fan of Lazerback’s robot mode, but Gaidora certainly looks great.  The extra paint apps and much nicer looking head make a huge difference.

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
