Transformers: Collaborative: Street Fighter II Megatron (M Bison) vs. Optimus Prime (Ryu)

Megatron (M Bison)

Previous Mold Use: Titans Return Voyager Class Megatron, Titans Return Voyager Class Blitzwing

Megatron really looks great painted up as Bison. I love these colors on this mold, especially in jet mode. Of course, they did not bother to give his headmaster a name.

Optimus Prime (Ryu)

Previous Mold Use: Titans Return Voyager Class Optimus Prime, Titans Return Voyager Class Laser Optimus Prime, Titans Return Voyager Class Octane

As good as Megatron looks as Bison, Optimus Prime looks even better as Ryu. The tan colored paint on his chest and arms really works better than I would have imagined it would. The red headband looks great painted on.

Overall: I never bought the original release of this set, mostly because I thought it was stupid, and honestly, it is stupid, but these are pretty great toys. At $120 this set is super overpriced for two Voyager Class toys that came out at, if I remember correctly, $25 each. Titans Return Voyager Class toys are as big, or close to as big, as Legacy Leader Class toys, so I suppose they can justify $60 each, but it still feels like disgusting price gouging. Sadly, these two toys seem better as Bison and Ryu than they were as Megatron and Optimus Prime.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
