Blog #2194: Toy Review: Micro Machines Transformers 8-Packs Wave 1

Micro Machines Transformers 8-Packs Wave 1

Jazwares has resurrected the Micro Machines brand under license from Hasbro. Good luck finding them in stores. I have yet to find a single Transformers Micro Machine item in store. Walmart does not even seem to carry the brand at all, I only see them at Target.

Each 8-Pack comes with a decoder with an Autobot symbol on one side and a Decepticon symbol on the other. Each vehicle includes a decodable logo on the bottom of the vehicle. I would like it better if they had just done rub signs. For me this really adds nothing to the toys.

Transformers (2007)

The display backgrounds show the opening battle of the movie at the desert base and the battle at the end of the movie. These can also be used to connect bases together.

This set include Blackout, Brawl, Bumblebee, Jazz, Megatron, whose wings can fold in, Optimus Prime, Ratchet, and Starscream. The vehicles look fine, though I would rather Optimus Prime have real smokestacks.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

The display backgrounds show the opening factor where they found Scavenger at the beginning of the movie and the battle at the end of the movie. I kind of thought they would have included the pyramids in the background, but apparently not.

This set include Arcee, Bumblebee, Elita-1, Jazz, Jetfire, Megatron, Optimus Prime, and Starscream. It’s really pretty lousy that they didn’t include the third motorcycle. Three of those would be barely equal to two cars. Seems awfully cheap to me.

Overall: There is apparently a chase Bumblebee repaint that comes randomly in place of the regular Bumblebee in this set. Of course, since it has no window, this sucks balls. I have yet to find any of these in store, so I don’t know if the numbering on the bottom of the box reveals if they chase is included. I reiterate, this suck balls. Fuck you Jazwares. The toys are fine, but if they aren’t actually going to appear in store in quantity, I would rather they just cancel the line altogether.

Thanks for reading!

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
