Transformers: Kingdom: Voyager Class Dinobot

Dinobot

Beast Mode: Dinobot looks pretty awesome, with one glaring exception. What the hell is with his dinosaur claws? It looks like he’s trying to dry nail polish. He should have claws. I don’t get that decision at all. Kind of ruins an otherwise awesome toy. He has very few robot parts are showing, and I love his dinosaur head and painted teeth. I just don’t understand those awful hands. His colors are a bit darker than the original series, but he still looks great.

Robot Mode: In robot mode he looks pretty great, though he has a little too much brown on him. I love his head sculpt.

Overall: He’s not quite colored properly, and those awful dinosaur hands are just, yikes, but Dinobot is pretty good and well worth getting. However, I think it’s likely we could get a more original series accurate version of him down the road, so you may want to wait a while and see if that materializes.

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
