Blog #2033: Toy Review: Transformers: The Movie: Studio Series Deluxe Class Blurr

Transformers: The Movie: Studio Series Deluxe Class Blurr

The Transformers: The Movie Studio Series toys are clearly meant to be part of the third part of the War For Cybertron Trilogy. Presumably Hasbro decided to put them in Studio Series so they could shoehorn Beast Wars in rather than doing a separate line for the 25th anniversary of Beast Wars. If they couldn’t give Beast Wars it’s own line, including an additional wave in the Kingdom line would have made more sense.

Blurr

Vehicle Mode: Blurr is perfect in vehicle mode. This is the Blurr we’ve been waiting for since 1986.

Robot Mode: It is amazing that Hasbro figured out that Blurr isn’t supposed to be only colored just in shades of blue as they did with the awful Titans Return Blurr. Blurr really looks amazing. Not sure I love the face sculpt, but that’s my only complaint.

Overall: Blurr is an absolute must have, if the face sculpt bothers use, display him in vehicle mode.

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
