Seawing

Creature Mode: Seawing (AKA Kraken) is a pretty amazing homage to the G1. He’s one of my favorites in the set. Colors are great, and I love his creature face and the guns under his wings. I think he actually looks even better with the weapons on top.

Weapon Mode: Seawing’s gun mode is very cool. Wish he had a few more paint apps. In this mode there is a lot of black plastic that needed some yellow and blue highlights.

Robot Mode: Seawing’s robot mode is not bad. I like his head sculpt, but I wish his wings could fold up flat against his back. You could bend them back, but then they would stick straight out behind him. In addition to his wing guns, which he can hold in his hands, he comes with a gun and an axe that forms part of Piranacon’s sword.

Overall: Seawing is pretty great. I’ve been waiting for these guys since Combiner Wars, and it was well worth the wait.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
