Transformers: Generations Selects: Siege Deluxe Smokescreen
Smokescreen
Previous Mold Use: Siege Deluxe Prowl, Siege Deluxe Barricade
Smokescreen looks amazing in vehicle mode. They did an awesome job painting him, and the dark windows look great. In robot mode he has far too much black on his legs and torso. G1 Smokescreen had a black waist, but his legs were red, white, and blue. The design of his windows would make it hard for his lower legs to be red, but he would look much better if his thighs were white. If you read my review of Siege Deluxe Barricade, you may remember how pissed off I am that Prowl and Barricade did not both come with the shoulder guns and a hand gun. Wonder of wonders, Smokescreen has both. You might think I’d be happy with his, and I am, but only to a point. Now we can see why Barricade and Prowl didn’t have all their guns. They needed the light bar accessory. So, Hasbro designed the mold so they didn’t need to paint the light bar in a way that looked stupid (see Combiner Wars Smokescreen), and they didn’t need to have parts in the mold both with and without the light bar. And still, since they had to include the light bar as an accessory, they couldn’t be bothered to include all the weapons. Pathetic.
Overall: Smokescreen is a great toy, and does have all his weapons. And yet, Hasbro still managed to piss me off.
