Transformers: Generations: Siege Deluxe Brunt

Brunt is the second in a series of Weaponizers, deluxe toys who become weapons and armor for other toys, and who are based on the partners of the Titan Class toys. Brunt was one of Trypticon’s partners. He was made up of parts of Trypticon and had no robot mode. The logic behind doing these guys now when their larger partners were previously released in other lines makes no sense to me.

Brunt

Vehicle Mode: Brunt’s vehicle mode is a pretty much perfect recreation of G1 Brunt. The only thing missing is the light up orange tip of the gun.

Robot Mode: I kind of love Brunt’s robot mode. The face sculpt is very cool, and the big claw hands, which I would normally not like, work really well on him. He doesn’t have a lot of paint apps, but I think (for once) he’s got just enough.

Weaponizer Mode: Brunt can become weapons for any figure with 5mm ports. He is pictured in his instructions in two different configurations with Refraktor. The previous he previous Weaponizers, Cog and Sixgun, had three configurations, and far more guns. Oddly, the lack of guns works well for Brunt, as he is a much better toy than either Cog or Sixgun. In this case, less is more.

Overall: Brunt is the best of the Weaponizers released so far. I just wish he had come out with Trypticon.

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.

Looks like they based his new robot mode on Tankor.
