Red Wing

Previous Mold Use: Siege Voyager Starscream

If you want to know why Red Wing exists, read the notes on this page on TFWiki. Long story short, a seeker was incorrectly colored red in a Fun Pub comic and was eventually given the name Red Wing. (Fun pub screwing something up? Whoever could imagine that?) Unfortunately, we never ended up getting a Red Wing toy from the Classics Starscream mold, which doubly sucks since they could have done it instead of one of the Subscription Service jets like Nacelle. In any case, Hasbro has given us our first toy of the character, a repaint of Siege Voyager Starscream. He looks pretty cool, though I really hate how every toy in this line has to have battle damage paint. I wish he was red instead of black on the top part of his jet mode, but other than that, he looks fine.

Overall: I can’t get too excited about this toy. We just found out we are getting blue, yellow, and green versions, and will probably get a modified head version as the three cone heads somewhere down the road. It’s a nice toy, but nothing to write home about.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
