Previous Mold Use: Age of Extinction One Step Changer High Octane Bumblebee
I almost forgot this mold existed. It was from the last wave of AOE One Step Changers that was crazy hard to find when it came out. He has a decent paint job, but I don’t like the black on his chest. They actually painted his rear windows. That should be automatic, but Hasbro often doesn’t paint the back of cars.
I hate these “cassettes” so much. They triple change from vehicle to animal/robot, and from animal/robot to brick. Such a stupid concept. If you’re going to do Soundwave as a cassette player then do cassettes.
See my comments about Buzzsaw above. It is interesting that they did Howlback. He was one of the eHobby cassettes. What is strange is that they did Howlback without doing Garboil, who is a repaint of Buzzsaw/Laserbeak. Not sure why they didn’t just do him instead of Buzzsaw.
So…we got a red Rumble as part of Titans Return, and now a blue Rumble. I’m going to put aside the question of FIRRIB (if you don’t know what FIRRIB is, click here). One of them should have been Frenzy. Not sure what Hasbro was thinking about. Probably they weren’t.
Overall: The set has no new molding, three pieces of crap, and a One Step Changer. Easy skip for most. Completists only.
