Machine Robo Revenge of Cronos Eagle Robo (AKA Masterpiece Gobots Leader-1)

I tried not to buy anymore Masterpiece Gobots, but I loved Blackbird Robo, and Leader-1 was always my favorite Gobot, so I had to get him.

Leader-1 is awesome. He’s a perfect update to the original toy. He’s got a really cool gun and great head sculpt. This toy accomplishes what Masterpiece Starscream couldn’t. The original Masterpiece Starscream (MP-3) tried to be a close to accurate F-15 Eagle, and it was, but Starscream’s robot mode suffered for it. It didn’t look like Starscream (ignoring the colors, I’m just talking about the mold). The updated Masterpiece Starscream (MP-11) gave us a perfect Transformers Starscream, but the jet mode looks like it always did, a simplified toy version of an F-15 Eagle and not a real F-15 Eagle. Leader-1 manages to be both a perfect Leader-1 robot mode and a close to accurate F-15 Eagle. Of course Starscream is a vastly superior toy because he’s a Transformer, but this is a really cool toy.
