Transformers: The Last Knight Toy Reviews

Bumblebee

Read my review of the original version of Bumblebee here. Per usual, Hasbro did not bother to properly paint his rear and side rear windows. The incompetence is staggering. He would look better if the middle of Bumblebee’s hood were black. I don’t know why they didn’t use a different Bumblebee mold. There are so many movie Legion Bumblebees, there is no reason to just keep repainting.

Megatron

This is the first version of this mold to arrive in stores, though the wave two single pack is starting to hit some areas. Robot mode isn’t bad, but he really needs some paint apps in a brighter color. I like his jet mode a lot.

Grimlock

Read my original review of Grimlock here. I hate this toy. This one isn’t badly painted, if you can ignore the turkey beneath.

Optimus Prime

They repainted him by removing some of his flame paint apps and moving his Autobot logo to a new location. It’s very clear that Hasbro has stopped trying. Read my review of the original here.

Overall: Toys R Us is charging $15 each for these, which is terribly overpriced. The entire Last Knight toyline is a joke.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
