Toys R Us Exclusive Mission To Cybertron to Include More Than Transformers: The Last Knight?

I found this at Toys R Us today.

It says “Mission to Cybertron”, which is the name for the upcoming sub line of Transformers: The Last Knight toys that will be repaints of older molds exclusive to Toys R Us.  (Which is quite interesting since 90% of the main Transformers: The Last Knight toyline is already repaints of older molds.)  We know about a few of the toys that will be in this line from some images leaked, but I don’t think we have had any kind of official announcement of any of the toys.  What’s interesting about this shirt is that it uses G1 art of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee without The Last Knight logo, and that begs the question.  Could we be getting toys based on other Transformers series in the Mission to Cybertron line?  There is no way to know at this point.  This could be nothing more than someone at Toys R Us wanting the G1 art since they think it will sell better, or even a manufacturing mistake where the wrong art was used.  I assume we’ll find out more about his line in the coming weeks.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
