Transformers Masterpiece Cheetor
Accessories
Cheetor comes with two additional cat and robot heads. There is also a die cast Optimus Primal figure, but I’m still waiting for mine to arrive.
Cheetor
Beast Mode: Cheetor looks pretty great in cat mode, but there are only so many robot bits you can cover up. Some is going to be showing on most beast alternate modes. Masterpiece Optimus Primal did an amazing job of covering his robot parts. Cheetor doesn’t accomplish it quite as well, but he still looks pretty great in cat mode. I really love the whiskers.
Robot Mode: I like Cheetor’s robot mode. They made a great decision to use a fake cat head for his chest. His actual cat head wouldn’t have looked this good. My only complaint is his front cat legs. They just sort of hang off his back. They should have been able to fold up. Also, his larger weapon is supposed to clip onto his back, but I can’t get it on without partially untransforming it.
Overall: I like Cheetor, but I really wish they would go back to doing G1s. We still don’t have Masterpiece versions of Hound, Jazz, Mirage, Sunstreaker, Trailbreaker, Hoist, and Skids, and the only Mini-Vehicle we have is Bumblebee. I want them all. With the exception of Hoist and Trailbreaker, these don’t have an obvious repaints, which I know is an issue, but it kind of boggles my mind that we haven’t at least gotten Trailbreaker and Hoist.
