So, they included this plastic stand that is shaped vaguely like G1 Ironhide’s “base”.  Frankly, I could have done without that.  It seems like some of the additional accessories were only needed to fill up space on this.  It has no wheels, or treads.  It really adds nothing to the toy.

Vehicle Mode: Ironhide looks perfect in vehicle mode.  He’s amazing, and even has the striping on the sides of the vehicle.  His guns can be mounted on the roof.

Robot Mode: Ironhide looks great in robot mode.  His head sculpt is perfect.  I wish the lower part of his chest folded in a little, and he seems to have put on a little weight, but that’s a very minor thing.  He comes with a number of hand attachments, all of which I believe were seen in one episode or another.  The jet pack is my favorite accessory, though it could do without the plastic flames.

Overall: Ironhide is a must for any G1 fan.

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
