Road Rage sports a new weapon.  It is based on G1 Tracks weapon.  It was kind of a pain to get it to attach to her hand, as there is a rectangular peg that has to slid into the slot on the top of her hand.  I had a hard time getting it clipped on.  The toy looks pretty cool in these colors.  While the car mode only differs from Tracks in colors, in robot mode they have made a few modifications.  Her waist has been remolded, as have her thighs.  I think the intention was to make her look more feminine.  Both are less boxy than Tracks.  Her upper chest has also been remolded.  I think the idea is to make it look like she has breasts, but it kind of fails as the lower part of her chest is completely flat.  I mean, I get the idea, but still it’s a little ridiculous.  The original toy was identical in mold to Tracks.  Her head sculpt is a bit of an issue for me.  It looks great, but I have no idea what it is supposed to be based on.  I know that the character was female, but the toy was a straight repaint of G1 Tracks (or vice versa as it was a Diaclone and came before Tracks).  I would have much preferred her have the G1 Tracks head sculpt.  Don’t get me wrong, it looks fantastic, but it means nothing to me.  I am tempted to say this is one for completists, but it’s only the second use of the mold and the car mode is so good in these colors, I think this one is a must.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
