Transformers: Robots in Disguise (2015) Warrior Class Megatronus & Clash of the Transformers Warrior Class Megatronus

Decided to review theses together.

Clash of the Transformers version is pictured on the right.

Vehicle Mode: I kind of like his tank mode, it’s a very cool design.  Could have used some more paint apps, especially on his treads.  Feels like he should have had a few more guns too, perhaps a launching missile.

Robot Mode: His robot mode is great.  I really like the design.  The differences between the two toys are pretty obvious.  The regular version has purple in the center of his chest and the two side areas are unpainted, while the CotF version is gray in the center of the chest and has the side boxes painted gray with purple circles.  The regular version has purple stripes on his forearms and the sword blade is painted purple, which the CotF version does not.  The major difference between the toys is his head sculpt.  The regular version head sculpt looks pretty great.  The CotF version is the “battle mask” version.  I don’t like it as much, but it’s not bad.

Overall: This is a pretty good toy, so you can’t really go wrong with either version.
