Transformers: Robots in Disguise (2015) Titan Changers Wave 1 (Bumblebee and Optimus Prime)

I’ve had a hell of a time finding these, and I still can’t find the Electronic Titan Heroes.

Optimus Prime

These toys are better than I expected.  Aside from needing some paint apps, Optimus Prime looks pretty great in vehicle mode.  In robot mode he’s not terrible, certainly better than the non-transforming Titan Heroes.  He’s really tall and thin.  He could use a few more paint apps.

Bumblebee’s car mode is great.  He just needs a few paint apps.  His robot mode is better proportioned than Optimus Prime.  I really like Bumblebee

Overall:  While the 12 inch figures have never been great, I have always understood why Hasbro makes them.  They have the same scale figures in both Marvel and Star Wars (possibly others) and want to promote cross brand play.  I think they should make more of these transforming 12 inch figures.  They get the cross brand promotion and they can transform.  I’ve seen way worse toys than these from Hasbro.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
