Transformers: Robots in Disguise (2015) One Step Changers Wave 6 (Quillfire and Springload)

This is only half of Wave 6.  There are two completely new molds (might be heavy remolds) of Bumblebee and Sideswipe, but I have yet to find them.

Quillfire looks pretty cool for a One Step Changer.  It’s the first toy of this character we’ve seen.  He looks okay in vehicle mode though his feet sticking out the back doesn’t look great.  I really like his robot mode, with the exception of the front end of the vehicle sticking out from his back the way it does.  Not bad for a One Step Changer.

Springload

Springload has a fantastic vehicle mode.  I love the oversize tires.  His robot mode, with the exception of the big piece of vehicle mode sitting on his head, looks pretty great.  His frog head is nicely molded and painted.  He is a really odd character, and I can’t say he looks a lot like he does in the show, but it’s not a bad toy.

Overall: It’s two characters we haven’t seen before, and the toys are good, even if they have a few flaws.  Recommended.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
