Q Transformers Wave 1 and 2 (Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Lockdown, Crosshairs, Sideswipe, Prowl, Hot Rod, Hotrod, Bumble)

These are pretty cool.  They are tiny, just a couple inches long at most.  Wave 1 is based on Age of Extinction Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Lockdown, and Crosshairs.  Wave 2 is based on G1 Sideswipe, Prowl, Hot Rod, and Bumblebee (called Bumble in Japan).  Wave 3 includes Alternity Optimus Prime and five more G1 characters and Wave 4 includes three more G1’s and a Nemesis Prime repainted from the Movie Optimus Prime mold.  I hope we will get a G1 Optimus Prime at some point.

There really isn’t a lot to say about these.  I have just a few comments below.

Wave 1

All the vehicle modes are great, especially Crosshairs.  Optimus Prime’s cab kind of extends over the bed, but it doesn’t look bad.  I’m not crazy about Bumblebee’s robot face.  He looks almost like some kind of monster, and not much like his battle helmet.

Wave 2

Sideswipe and Prowl look awesome in vehicle mode.  I do not like Hot Rod.  He should look more futuristic.  At very least he should have a spoiler.  Bumblebee doesn’t look bad, but he should be a VW Bug.  All look amazing in robot mode.

Overall: At about $10 each, less if you buy the sets, they are pretty cheap, certainly cheap enough to make it worth picking up your favorite characters.
