Transformers: Hero Mashers Electronic Optimus Prime and Grimlock

Transformers: Hero Mashers (which I thought were to be called Robot Mashers) are finally here.  Obviously they don’t transform, but there is a lot to like about these.

Optimus Prime

Optimus Prime is certainly armed to the teeth.  I am not a fan of the leg attachments.  He stands on the back of them making it look odd and be a little back heavy, which is unsurprising with all that armor on him.  I definitely like the regular version better.

Grimlock seems to be a cross between G1 and Age of Extinction.  He lacks AOE Grimlock’s horns, but doesn’t look quite G1 either.  Unfortunately once he has his weapons on he is front heavy and tends to tip forward.  Not the best design, but he looks nice.

Overall: I like these, but the mixing and matching of parts does nothing for me.  Kids will probably enjoy that though, especially as you can mix and match with Marvel Hero Mashers.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
