Blog #629: Toy Reviews: Transformers Rescue Bots Mr. Potato Head Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Grimlock

Transformers Rescue Bots Mr. Potato Head Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Grimlock

Unlike the Mash-Up 2-Packs, these only come with robot mode to build, but you can swap parts from toy to toy, not that I know why you would want to do that.

Optimus Prime

This is the same Optimus Prime as is in the 2-pack, but his blue parts are translucent, so that’s pretty cool.

Bumblebee

These are clearly G1.  I really wish we had parts for a Bumblebee vehicle mode.  Maybe if this line takes off we can get more of them.

Grimlock

So awesome!  Definitely my favorite.  He is a perfect G1 Grimlock.  If he didn’t have the teeth and dinosaur eyes, he would look like a Star Wars Droid.

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
