Transformers Mr. Potato Head Mash-Ups 2-Packs Optimus Prime & Starscream

I am assuming these are what was meant by the “Mash-Ups 2-Packs” that were in Hasbro’s press release on the Mr. Potato Head line. It doesn’t say anywhere on the package, but then it’s far from unusual for Hasbro to be an unclear about things as possible.

Optimus Prime

This is really cool. Not only is it an Optimus Prime Mr. Potato Head, but it actually transforms! Well…sort of. He has parts to make him the robot and parts to make him the vehicle. All things considered, it’s pretty cool. What is interesting to me is that these are being sold under the Rescue Bots label. Some of them aren’t even on based on Rescue Bots characters or character models, but on G1.

Starscream

Starscream, like Optimus Prime, is based on his G1 character model. He even includes his arm cannons, which surprises me, since they have gone out of their way to have no guns whatsoever associated with any of the Rescue Bots toys. Very cool, I think I like him better than Prime. You have to love the jet mode.
