Transformers: Age of Extinction Voyager Galvatron
Vehicle Mode: I love Galvatron’s vehicle mode. I’m not crazy about the colors, but I think that’s just because I want him in gray, purple, and orange. The paint apps are great. His transformation is excellent. In robot mode his “backpack” flips out to become the top and all sides of the cab. His arms fold around behind his head and are covered by the cab. Flip down and tab in the front wheels, and flip the side panels over and it’s done. Nice and simple without being too simple.
Robot Mode: His robot mode is okay, nothing particularly special, but nothing bad either. It doesn’t really scream Galvatron to me, but again, that might just be the colors. I wish they had made his gun attachable to his arm, all it would take is a port on his arm. It would not affect transformation.
Overall: I can’t recommend Galvatron enough. He looks great beside Voyager Evasion Mode Optimus Prime. I wish we would get a Leader Class version, but historically Leader Class Decepticons have not sold well, so Hasbro pretty much doesn’t make them anymore. I’m not holding my breath.
