Vehicle Mode: Sideswipe is a remold of Jazz.  He’s so much a remold that until I put them side-by-side I wasn’t even sure they were based on the same design.  I really like Sideswipe’s vehicle mode.  He has a really nice paint job, though I think it would have looked better if they had made the white stripes silver to match the hood (or vice versa).  His enormous gun looks a bit out of place, making him look a little more like a tank than a racecar.  Jazz’s gun was too small, so they kind of went to the other extreme.  Still, the big gun looks fine for his vehicle mode.

Robot Mode: I’m not crazy about Sideswipe’s robot mode.  When they remolded his chest/front of the car, they got rid of the rounded shape.  It makes his chest look bigger and way too top heavy.  Also, that really large gun doesn’t stay in his hand very well.  These awful hands that aren’t closed fists don’t hold the weapons tight enough, so it sort of flops around in his hand.  Also, due to the size of the gun, he can’t hold it without falling forward unless you rest the tip of the barrel on the ground.

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
