Blog #175: Toy Review: Transformers Dark of the Moon Revoltech Optimus Prime & Bumblebee

Transformers Dark of the Moon Revoltech Optimus Prime & Bumblebee have been out since last year, but I just recently picked them up.

If you aren’t familiar with Revoltech, they are highly poseable action figures with interchangeable weapons.  The joint pieces are the same for all toys, making the parts compatible across the line.  These aren’t the first Transformers they have done in the Revoltech line.  Previous toys were (all G1) Optimus Prime, Megatron, Ultra Magnus, Hot Rod, and Starscream.  (There is also a rare Skywarp recolor of Starscream.)

These are really nice toys with a lot of detail.  They are also fairly reasonably priced considering they were Japanese exclusives.  If you’re patient you can get them for $55-$65 on ebay with shipping, though some sellers have them up for a lot more.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
