Blog #150: Toy Review: Dairycon 2005 Stormsword (WindChill, ThunderClap, HotStuff)

Well, for my 150th blog, I thought I should do something special, and I was lucky that I found something very special this week.

Back in 2005, Dairycon issued one of my favorite convention exclusives ever.  The Stormsword is a repaint of the Transformers Energon Energon Saber Team individually named WindChill, ThunderClap, and Hot Stuff.  (Bios for the three can be found here.)  Collectively they form The Stormsword.

The Energon Saber Team was a repaint and remold of the Transformers Armada Air Defense Team.  I’ve always preferred the Energon version.  I think it was brilliantly remolded.  The purple, black, red, and translucent red colors of the Dairycon version look absolutely amazing.  I highly recommend these, but they are incredibly rare with one having been released at Dairycon 2005, one at Cybcon 2005, and one at DBCTF 2005 (in the Netherlands).  So, enjoy the pictures below, as it is as close as most people will ever get to this incredible set.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
