Cybertronic looks pretty cool. The paint apps make all the difference.

As with Cybertronic, it’s the paint apps that really make sure toy look great. However, Hasbro had to fuck it up. If you leek at his packaging, it shows his tank as the Siege version with the turret, but Megatron is the Miner version. He includes the weapons for both versions, but you cannot configure the tank with the barrel. The shoulders on this Megatron will only hold the drill, which really sucks. I don’t know why they didn’t just use the Siege mold. He did not need the Miner weapons. Even worse than the tank mode, the shoulders are in the way of his fusion cannon. The cannon is not solidly pegged in as the back of the gun hits the remolded shoulders. Talk about screwing the pooch. All they had to do is use the Siege mold (or even better, use the Earthrise mold, which is far superior).

Combined

Whatever morons at Hasbro conceived of this toy, they didn’t bother to include instructions for how to put Cybertronic’s weapons on Megatron. I think I got it right from the far too small picture, but the fact there are no instructions really pisses me off.

Overall: Fuck you, Hasbro. You took an otherwise nice looking toy and turned it to crap by failing to use the right mold and failing to include complete instructions.

Thanks for reading!

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
