Transformers: Dramatic Capture Series Decepticons Part 2 (Bombshell, Kickback, Shrapnel, Skywarp)

Accessories

The accessories from this set mostly come from the Accessory Pack included with the Siege Deluxe Class Centurion Drone. The lone exception is the small energon cubes, which I believe are the same as the ones that were included with the Platinum Edition Insecticons Set. Both sets of energon cubes are now done in darker pink than the original versions. Additionally, we now have a Soundwave with a much better paintjob, though still no peg, so no figure can hold him, a Shockwave that is not a gray plastic piece of shit, a Megatron with a much better paintjob, and a Reflector that is not a gray plastic piece of shit. These all look great.

Bombshell

Previous Mold Use: Legacy Evolution Deluxe Class Shrapnel, Legacy Evolution Deluxe Class Bombshell, Legacy United Doom’n Destruction Collection Deluxe Class Barrage, Legacy United Doom’n Destruction Collection Deluxe Class Chopshop

Bombshell is now more animation accurate in robot mode, but this comes at the expense of his insect mode, which is not accurate, now being gray instead of purple. He is also missing all the sticker detail, which looked so great on the original version.

Kickback

Previous Mold Use: Legacy Deluxe Class Insecticon Kickback, Buzzworthy Bumblebee Creature’s Collide Deluxe Class Ransack

Kickback is more show accurate as he now has most of his wonderful paint apps removed. He also does not come with his additional weapons.

Shrapnel

Previous Mold Use: Legacy Evolution Deluxe Class Shrapnel, Legacy Evolution Deluxe Class Bombshell, Legacy United Doom’n Destruction Collection Deluxe Class Barrage, Legacy United Doom’n Destruction Collection Deluxe Class Chopshop, Dramatic Capture Series Deluxe Class Bombshell

Much like Kickback, Shrapnel is more animation accurate without all his wonderful painted details.

Skywarp

Previous Mold Use: Earthrise Voyager Class Starscream, Earthrise Voyager Class Skywarp, Earthrise Voyager Class Thundercracker, Earthrise Voyager Class Ramjet, Earthrise Voyager Class Dirge, Selects Voyager Class G2 Sandstorm, Earthrise Voyager Class Thrust, Selects Voyager Class G2 Ramjet, Studio Series Leader Class Coronation Starscream, Buzzworthy Bumblebee Troop Builder Multipack Voyager Class Seeker, Beast Wars Again Voyager Class Ghost Starscream, Legacy Evolution Voyager Class Dirge, Legacy Evolution Voyager Class G2 Cloudcover, Dramatic Capture Series Voyager Class Starscream, Studio Series Devastation Voyager Class Elite Seeker, Dramatic Capture Series Voyager Class Thundercracker

Skywarp is now more animation accurate.

Overall: If you wanted these two toys accurate to animation, you’ll want this set. Otherwise, this one might be easy to skip.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
