Transformers: Studio Series Deluxe Class Barricade (TLK)

Barricade

Vehicle Mode: Barricade looks great in vehicle mode, if you can ignore the glaring omission of his trademark, “To Punish and Enslave,” on his fender. I cannot ignore it, as it is the main reason to care about him as a character. He looks great with his guns on him, again, if you can ignore the glaring and unforgivable omission that I cannot ignore.

Robot Mode: In robot mode, Barricade looks okay, but not as good as he does in vehicle mode, or as good as he would look if they had put “To Punish and Enslave” on his fender. Another glaring omission, he is missing his “Protect” and “Serve” knuckledusters. They may not be as iconic as “To Punish and Enslave,” but I think they should be.

Overall: I cannot recommend any Barricade toy missing the line on his fender. Just go find an original movie version. At least its accurate in the most important way.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
