Blog #2428: Toy Review: Transformers: Collaborative: GI Joe Soundwave Dreadnok Thunder Machine and Ravage with Zartan and Zarana

Transformers: Collaborative: GI Joe Soundwave Dreadnok Thunder Machine and Ravage with Zartan and Zarana

Zartan and Zarana

These figures have nothing to do with Transformers. Not even a Decepticon logo on the box.

Ravage

Previous Mold Use: Masterpiece Ravage, Masterpiece Stripes

Ravage is repainted from the Masterpiece mold. Not sure if there is a reason for him being blue. He comes with a leash. I don’t think this is the same leash included in the SDCC 2013 Transformers GI Joe crossover set.

Soundwave

Vehicle Mode: As it has been with previous GI Joe Transformers, in vehicle mode he is a perfect Dreadnok Thunder Machine.

Robot Mode: Soundwave looks pretty good in robot mode. He looks enough like Soundwave, but I just wish he didn’t have red feet. Not a fan of the wheels and panels hanging off his arms.

Overall: I’d say Soundwave is an improvement over Bumblebee, about on par with Megatron. Hardly a must have, but certainly a nice toy.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
