Transformers: Studio Series Deluxe Class Ratchet

Ratchet

Vehicle Mode: Ratchet is a truck-like thing painted like an ambulance. He does not have any obvious emergency lights, but I don’t know what else he could be. Never a good sign when you have to wonder what his alt mode is. I feel like they need to think outside the box a little more when doing the Cybertron modes for these characters. They are trying to base their Cybertron modes on their Erath modes, rather than the other way around. What might Ratchet have been that caused Teletran-1 to make him an ambulance? That’s the question they should have asked.

Robot Mode: In robot mode I really like the look. I don’t love the head sculpt, but its not terrible.

Overall: Ratchet is fine. He’s nothing special. I knew they would give us more Bumblebee movies toys, but I really hope we can move on to some of the ones we didn’t get from The Last Knight. I would be far more interested in those.

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
