Transformers: Premium Finish: Studio Series Deluxe Class Bumblebee (Bumblebee Movie)
Previous Mold Use: Studio Series Deluxe Class Bumblebee (VW), Studio Series Deluxe Bumblebee (VW, Rusty), Bumblebee: Entertainment Earth Exclusive Retro Pop Highway Volume 2 Deluxe Class Bumblebee (VW, Gold)
Bumblebee is much more accurate to his appearance in the movie in a much paler shade of yellow. They have remolded the tabs that hold the roof and sides of his vehicle together in vehicle mode. It doesn’t work. I spent an hour getting into vehicle mode with his panels mostly in place. I don’t recall the previous iterations being this hard to get into vehicle mode.
Overall: He looks great, but this is the color scheme he should have come in originally. We shouldn’t have had to spent extra for a Japanese release to get it accurate.
Thanks for reading!
I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
