Transformers: Generations: Shattered Glass Commander Class Jetfire
The Ghost of Fun Pub still haunts us. Each Shattered Glass toy came with an exclusive comic giving them an excuse to overcharge for these toys. All were $9-$12 over retail for a $5 comic. These should have just been done as Selects without the comics for retail price.

He comes with two multipart blast effects. Yippee.
Jetfire
Previous Mold Use: Siege Commander Class Jetfire
Jetfire looks pretty great in black, purple, silver, and green. I kind of wish he had some more paint apps in robot mode as he is mostly black, especially as the purple is very dark so it doesn’t stand out very much.
Overall: I think this line exists for the sole purpose of repainting this toy. It is the only one in the series not based on one of the original Botcon Shattered Glass toys. There is nothing else you can repaint Jetfire into, and Hasbro wasn’t about to only get only one use out of a mold. They have done things like this before with toys like the Power of the Primes Rodimus Unicronus. I’m not really sure why he is black. Starscream took on Jetfire’s colors is Shattered Glass. Wouldn’t it have made more sense for Jetfire to be in Starscream’s colors? For that matter, why didn’t they put a Megatron head on Jetfire and make him Shattered Glass Megatron? There were better options for this toy. If Jetfire had been retail price I would find him a lot more palatable, but $12 extra for a comic? As you can see from the photo above, mine arrived broken to add to my ire over this toy.
Thanks for reading!
Thanks Zabbo. I figured that’s where they had got it. Forgot to mention it.
So, this color scheme is based on the Limited Edition Henkei Dark Jetfire figure. That thing had been repurposed in Fun Pub’s fiction as SG Jetfire. Not defending the stupidity of it, just sharing facts.
