Transformers: Generations: Netflix War for Cybertron Trilogy Voyager Class Megatron & Deluxe Class Fossilizer Skelivore
Mercifully, the Netflix War for Cybertron toyline, comprised almost entirely of unimaginative repaints (with a few good ones thrown in) is over. I hope whatever Hasbro has planned next has a little more thought put into it. Over three waves we got 23 toys, only five of which did not suck (Bumblebee, Elita-1, Hotlink, Soundwave, and Nemesis Prime). We can only hope whatever the next store exclusive repaint line is, that it has a little more thought put into it.
Compound
“Compound” is a substance that is similar it feel and smell to black Playdoh. (It could be Playdoh.) I decided not to bother unearth the blast effects inside.
Megatron
Previous Mold Use: Siege Voyager Class Megatron, Selects Siege Voyager Class G2 Megatron, Siege Walmart Exclusive 35th Anniversary Voyager Class Megatron, Netflix War for Cybertron Trilogy Voyager Class Megatron, Earthrise Voyager Class Megatron, Selects Earthrise Voyager Class G2 Megatron
The original Siege Megatron had battle damage, Now the Earthrise remold does. How interesting. (That was sarcasm.) The battle damage does look pretty good. A bit better than the usual dirty paint apps they put on them.
Skelivore
Previous Mold Use: Kingdom Deluxe Class Fossilizer Paleotrex
Clearly they were going for Skeletor. I feel like this doesn’t really work. Skeletor was a yellow skeleton wearing purple, and I’m not seeing any yellow on Skelivore. I might have gone with Skullgrin. His name aside, the mold looks fine in purple, but I still like the original version better.
Overall: For completists only.
