Transformers: Kingdom: Commander Class Rodimus Prime

Rodimus Prime

Vehicle Mode: Rodimus Prime has two vehicle modes. In his Hot Rod vehicle mode he is okay, but far from perfect. There is an awful lot of mass on the rear part of the vehicle, making him look nothing at all like a futuristic race car. It’s not a terrible vehicle mode, but it does not look like how I expect Hot Rod to look. His Rodimus Prime vehicle mode is pretty good. His “trailer” looks great, though the gap in his piping should have been done better. My only really problem is the front of his vehicle mode is too long. It just looks off. It’s not horrible, but it does leave a lot to be desired.

Robot Mode: Rodimus Prime looks pretty great in robot mode. I love the head sculpt. He has his extra long gun and a sword. When opened up his trailer looks pretty great.

Overall: For $80, Rodimus Prime should be a better toy. He’s not awful, Hasbro just needed to do some more design work on him. He probably would have come out better if they had designed him like the original G1 toy, where he does not have a Hot Rod mode at all.

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.

Thanks to you I’m really persuaded, that Power of the Primes Rodimus is much better for me, than this one.
