Transformers: Dinobot Defenders 2-Packs (Bumblebee with Lance & Optimus Prime with Scale)

Dinobot Adventures seems to be a filler line using Rescue Bots and Rescue Bots Academy repaints to fill the gap until whatever new series replaces Rescue Bots Academy.

Lance, whose name is kind of on the nose, has been repainted in red. He’s kind of cool.

Bumblebee

I never liked this Bumblebee. It’s just not a great design. He’s repainted with more gray than the original. Lance was not designed for this toy. If you look at the picture on the box back, it shows Bumblebee holding him as if there is a port on the front of him arm. This does not exist. I wonder if they had originally intended to alter the mold to properly accommodate the weapon, and then decided not to bother.

Optimus Prime & Scale

Scale

Scale can be a shield, or a sort of club. Clearly they reversed the colors on the molds for these guys.

Optimus Prime

Optimus Prime has some paint differences from the original version, but the overall color scheme is pretty similar. In Dinobot mode the only way to mount his weapon is on his tail. It looks like he’s carrying an umbrella.
