Blog #2092: Toy Review: Transformers: Dinobot Adventures Dinobot Squad 3-Pack (Grimlock, Predaking, Snarl)

Transformers: Dinobot Adventures Rescan Series 3-Pack (Grimlock, Predaking, Snarl)

Dinobot Adventures seems to be a filler line using Rescue Bots and Rescue Bots Academy repaints to fill the gap until whatever new series replaces Rescue Bots Academy.

Grimlock

Previous Mold Use: Rescue Bots Academy Rescan Series Grimlock

Grimlock’s new paintjob is a lot more G1 than the original. He looks fine for a T-Rex that transforms into a motorcycle for some reason.

Predaking

Previous Mold Use: Rescue Bots Rescan Series Heatwave (Dragon)

In dragon mode Predaking looks awesome. Unfortunately, in robot mode it’s impossible to ignore that he’s wearing a fireman’s hat painted black and orange.

Snarl

Previous Mold Use: Rescue Bots Rescan Series Chase (Dinobot)

Snarl is definitely the best of the three. He looks great in dinosaur mode, and in robot mode his face works well for Snarl. He does have the police shield on his forehead, but it does not stand out since it is not painted.

Overall: This is a cool set, well worth picking up if you like Dinobots.

Thanks for reading!

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
