Blog #1922: Toy Review: Transformers: Studio Series Voyager Class Constructicon Skipjack

Transformers: Studio Series Voyager Class Constructicon Skipjack

Devastator is combined from eight Constructicons (nine if you include Skipjack, AKA yellow Rampage). Read my reviews of Deluxe Class Hightower, Deluxe Class Scrapmetal, Voyager Class Long Haul, Voyager Class Mixmaster, Voyager Class Rampage, Voyager Class Scrapper, Voyager Class Skipjack, Leader Class Overload, Leader Class Scavenger, and Combiner Devastator.

Previous Mold Use: Studio Series Voyager Class Rampage

Skipjack is a repaint of Rampage. He can replace Rampage when building Devastator to make him more movie accurate. I think I prefer him in yellow, or maybe it’s just that yellow is a more traditional color for a constructions vehicle. If you look at the black piece that makes up their abdomen, you might notice they are different. Rampage, apparently all of them, were assembled with this piece backwards, so it shows the robot side in vehicle mode and vice versa. I never noticed this when I got Rampage.

Overall: Skipjack was an easy repaint for Hasbro. He makes Devastator more screen accurate.

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
