Transformers: Cyberverse One Step Changers Wave 9 (Fusion Mega Shot Megatron, Mega Chop Ratchet)

Fusion Mega Shot Megatron

Megatron’s tank mode is awesome. I love the Cybertronian design. He could have used a few paint apps. The one unfortunate thing is that he does not have some flip out legs to raise up his up off the ground so that it looks like he’s hovering. In robot mode he’s okay. He’s not great, but I’ve seen worse. I like the way his guns fit over his shoulders, but they don’t sit flush, and I really couldn’t get them positioned uniformly.

Mega Chop Ratchet

Ratchet looks fantastic in ambulance mode. He has pretty decent paint apps. As he is in his Cybertronian form, he has no wheels. Unlike Megatron, he does appear to be hovering. Yes, you can see the points sticking out, under his front bumper, but it still gives the impression he’s floating. That’s all I wish Megatron had. His robot mode isn’t bad. I don’t usually get upset about toys having too much kibble in robot mode, but the entire shell of the ambulance just hangs off his back. Just a couple of hinges and it could have folded up. He already transforms in more than one step, so what’s another? He has two flip out blades, but they only flip out as shown. If they flipped another ninety degrees they could have been swords.

Overall: While imperfect, these are two of the better One Step Changers in the line and both are new molds, so highly recommended.
