Transformers: Cyberverse Ultimate Energon Armor Optimus Prime

Energon Armor Optimus Prime

Vehicle Mode: What the actual fuck. His smoke stacks point…forward. I double checked and then triple checked to make sure I had transformed him correctly. You can see why. His smoke stacks point…forward. I actually like the way they painted the front of his cab. Painting his windshield wipers black is a small thing, but makes a huge difference, but it’s really hard to ignore that his smoke stacks point…forward.

Robot Mode: In robot mode Optimus Prime is badly out of proportion. It looks like his head was meant for a toy half as tall. The energon armor doesn’t actually look bad. I really like his face with the armor on.

Overall: Up until now the Ultimate Class toys have been the true jewel of the Cyberverse line. Unfortunately that is over. It’s just not a good toy, and I can’t stress this enough, his smoke stacks point…forward.

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
