Blog #1839: Toy Review: Transformers: Cyberverse Scout Class Wave 6 (Sonic Upper Cut Dead End, Cranium Crush Ramjet)

Transformers: Cyberverse Scout Class Wave 6 (Sonic Upper Cut Dead End, Cranium Crush Ramjet)

Every Cyberverse Scout Class toy sucks. They are absolute garbage due to having no actual vehicle modes.

Sonic Upper Cut Dead End

In robot mode Dead End looks okay. Not great, certainly I wouldn’t know he was supposed to be Dead End if his name wasn’t on the package, but I can see it. In his not quite vehicle mode he can swing his arm as an attack. Or maybe it’s some kind of… salute? Moving on…

Cranium Crush Ramjet

Wow, he has a vehicle mode! Oh, wait. My mistake, I’ve just got him mistransformed. His arms are not fully up in position under his wings, which allows him to sort of look like he’s in vehicle mode, albeit one with a weird looking cockpit. When you do push his arms up into the correct position, the nose of the jet pops up and spins.  In robot mode he actually looks pretty great.

Overall: Hasbro, at this point you’re just embarrassing yourself. Just stop making Scout class toys for Cyberverse.

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
