Blog #1691: Toy Review: Mech Fans Toys Camera Brothers

Mech Fans Toys Camera Brothers

The Camera Brothers are an upsized version of the Perfect Effect Scouting Force X which I bought and reviewed in 2013. Read my review of that set here. The Camera Brothers are slightly larger than Legends Class scale.

This set comes with one part that the original Camera Brothers did not, a second flash that can be put on top of the camera and used as a weapon by the robots. It also comes with a tiny camera that can be used by other figures, assuming their hands are capable of holding it.

This set is better than the Perfect Effect version. It’s large enough to fit in perfectly among Deluxe and Voyager Class toys. He has tons of weapons and accessories.

This set also comes with two sets of photos to be cut out, you know, because they are a camera. One sheet includes photos of real vehicles that some of the original 1984 Transformers were based on. The other is photos of some people. Doesn’t make much sense to me. Not sure who they are, though I think that’s Princess Dianna in the upper right, but I’m not sure.

Overall: At $35 this set is an absolute must have. I’ve see it on eBay for a little more, though it’s still worth it, but if you look around, you can find it for that price.

Thanks for reading!

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
