Transformers: Bumblebee: One Step Changer Bumblebee

While Hasbro decided not to do One Step Changers For Transformers: Bumblebee, instead replacing them with the Energon Igniters Power Series, Takara did do a series of three One Step Changers. One was a repainted The Last Knight One Step Changer Barricade, but the other two are new a new mold Bumblebee and an Optimus Prime.

Bumblebee

It’s a shame we never got this one in the USA. It’s one of the best One Step Changers Hasbro or Takara have ever made. Remarkably all his windows are painted! Also his windshield wipers, bumpers, and headlights. If they had only painted his taillights he would be perfect. As with many One Step Changers, it takes two steps to Transform Bumblebee. His feet need to be transformed after transforming him to robot mode and before transforming his to vehicle mode. In robot mode he has quite a few paint apps. I love his head sculpt and his face is painted perfectly. This is a really great toy, and can be had on eBay for less than $20. I highly recommend him, something I rarely say about a One Step Changer.

About lmb3

I’m 36 years old, and I work in network tech support for a public school system. I am a huge fan of Star Trek, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Marvel Comics as well as numerous other fandoms. I’m a big sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. I collect toys (mostly Transformers but other stuff too), comic books, and Red Sox baseball cards. I watch an obscene amount of television and love going to the movies. I am hopelessly addicted to Wizard Rock and I write Harry Potter Fanfiction, though these days I am working on a couple of different original YA novels.
